Atlanta Academy Virtual Tour

Admission Process

The admission process begins when you schedule a tour of our campus. During your school tour, our Admissions Office will provide you with more information about our curriculum and programs, and you can discover a day in the life of an Atlanta Academy student and teacher. This valuable time will also give you the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have.

To continue the admissions process, please complete your application here.

The items below will be required to submit your application:

  1. Basic demographic information
  2. Copy of your child(ren)’s birth certificate
  3. The name and email address for a teacher reference (PK4-3rd grade)
  4. The name and email address for 2 teacher references (4 – 8th grade).
  5. Non-refundable $125 application fee

Once you submit your application, we will reach out to schedule a Discovery time or Shadow Day for your child(ren). This school visit is required to continue the Admissions process.

Rising PK2-PK4 | Discover Time: You and your child(ren) will experience time in a preschool classroom, enjoying fun activities with our teachers, including storytime, singalong, and a snack. Preschool parents are present for the entire Discovery Session, so come prepared for a fun time!

Rising Jr. Kindergarten-1st-grade | Discover Time: Your child(ren) will spend a few hours at Atlanta Academy for us to get to know them and to experience our campus first-hand. During this time, they will visit our classrooms and meet our teachers and students. Along with playtime, storytime, singalong, and a snack, they will participate in an age-appropriate assessment.

Rising 2nd-8th grade students | Shadow Day: We require all rising 2nd-8th grade students to come for a Student Shadow Day. This visit is the most effective way for your child to experience a “day in the life” at Atlanta Academy. Your child is welcomed in the morning by our faculty, and a student ambassador accompanies them throughout the day. Your child will attend classes, meet classmates and teachers, complete an assessment, and enjoy enrichment classes and lunch.

Atlanta Academy is part of the AAAIS (Atlanta Area Association of Independent Schools), and we are required to follow common admission dates and guidelines.
